We all have struggles. Those nagging thoughts and feelings that haunt us. We long to be free from them. Yet they linger in the back of our minds taunting us. What does life look like free of these struggles? Can Christ begin to move at the places of our deepest woundedness to bring radical freedom?
Over the course of four weeks at the Crossing, we’re going to look at some of the culprits of these struggles:
- Hypocrisy: To live freely for Christ means the masks must fall.
- Fantasy & Escapism: We’ll examine the false promises of fantasy and escapism. How many of us live secret lives engrossed in video games, pornography and technology all in the hopes that our lives will be easier?
- Cynics & Contrarians: These mindsets paralyze movement for Christ and force us to remain on the sidelines watching others play the game while we become poisoned by our own bitterness, independence and superiority.
- Doubts & Insecurities: If we were truly honest with one another, we would all say that what paralyzes us often is difficulty answering hard-hitting questions and a fear of rejection. What if doubt and insecurity were not enemies, but rather valuable ways to be authentic in our witness for Christ?
If ever there has been a time to jump into the stream of what God is doing at the Crossing, now is the time. Do you want to be free OR are you afraid of what God might have in store for you? You’re invited to join the journey.
