Life in Christ

Experiencing Life in Christ takes a community of people who are connected by their passion for Jesus’ life, who nurture one-another, who are accountable to one-another, who train each other in the Christian Way, and who join together in the presence of God.  Only then are we truly Jesus’ Church.

We believe that sharing Christ in life is all about making immediate and eternal impact in people’s lives.  We do this by using elements of the culture within which we are placed to show that Jesus and His life are real and life-changing. We don’t ignore or hide from the culture, but rather we seek to redeem it. We use the elements of this culture as our connection with the people who live within it.  These elements include media, mindset, philosophy, music, technology, lifestyle, current events, recreation, celebrity, and relationships.

Sharing Christ in life carries with it the ability and responsibility of transforming our world.  We show confidence in the power of the Holy Spirit by positively influencing our culture, and by caring for those in need.  To share Jesus in life is to be a “city on a hill” as a community, and to be “salt and light” as individuals.

The Crossing is …

the living crossroads where our stories, faith, culture, passions, flaws, and perspectives come together to point to God and His reality in the real world. Our worship, message, prayer and compassion are focused on Jesus, the intersection of God and man.

… Worship

Each Sunday morning we get together to engage in the presence, guidance, and awe of the living God. It’s a time of raw, relevant expression of the reality of God in our lives. It is a gathering that seeks to allow youth and young adults to take the shortest path to the heart of God.

… Mission

We aren’t satisfied to just do church. We encourage each other to live as representatives of the Kingdom of God within the Ashland community. We look for where God is at work and move to be part of that work in ways that bring the renewal and influence of the Gospel to the lives and culture around us.

… Community

We were made to live life committed to others who are trying to place Jesus in the center of everything. We are about getting connected with other people for support and to share a purpose in life so that we can exist together as the healthy Body of Christ.
